CRAterre - ,  the Center for the Research and Application of Earth Architecture, within the School of Architecture of Grenoble is one of the European centres for Earthen building research and activity, focused on earthen architectural heritage and construction, with partners and projects across the world.

International Scientific Committee on Earth Architecture International research organisation focused on the historic preservation and conservation of earth building, with a spectrum of research focuses, operating worldwide.

ISCEAH is host to Terra2016 the Twelth World Congress on Earthen Architecture, 11-14 July 2016, at the Centre de Congrès, Lyon, France

Dachverband Lehm is the main German Earth Construction organisation, with a spectrum of organisations and examples (although old) – In German

Earth Building In the UK and Ireland (EBUKI)is the principle earth building organisation in Britain and Ireland. EBUKI highlights earth building, runs courses, workshops, and the annual ClayFest celebrating earth building culture.

Earth Architecture run by Emerging Objects architect, Ronald Rael, is one of the most comprehensive sites for news and views on earth buildings all over world

BaseHabitat Studio - is part of the Department of Architecture at the University of Art and Design in Linz. BaseHabitat was set up by Anna Heringer, and co-oridinates projects across the developing world with an emphasis on earth construction. Martin Rauch is a visiting professor.

The BRE Centre for Innovative Construction Materials within Bath University, includes a focus on what they characterise as low-carbon materials, including rammed earth. Significant research has been conducted within the centre, including A Review of Rammed Earth Construction (2003) by its director, Peter Walker.






Exhibitions & Workshops

Ma Terre première, an exhibition on contemporary rammed earth construction is on at the musèe des Confluences, Lyon between 23rd February and July 17th 2016

This year’s BaseHabitat Summer school is held in Altmünster, Austria between the 18th July and 1st August 2016

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) a short rammed earth course, over the weekend of 2-3rd July 2016.
